I've been stretching my writing muscles a lot lately between going over old writing, writing cover letters, and reviews for Fanboy Comics and what it's made me realize is I miss writing. I mean in that everyday sense I had back during college or the way I thought my day job was supposed to work before I acquired one.
Working in the corporate world was smothering my creativity and I am so grateful to Ben Rhodes and the Fanboy Comics staff for giving me the opportunity to write for them. In the last year I've worked past many confidence blocks I had with my writing and am finally starting to loosen up and have more fun with my articles (my recent review for the trade paperback The Occultist included an elaborate smoothie metaphor for instance.) Now I'm ready to get back to creative writing. I'm considering revisiting what I have for Broken Strings and continuing the story or starting a brand new project as soon as I can find the time between the job hunt and secret projects A and B (to be announced soon, I promise.)
Anyway, if you check out my academic papers, my D&D adventure, or the first chapter of Broken Strings, I'd love to hear what you think. Feel free to comment below or contact me by email or Twitter.
Coming next: Mouse Guard pregens and adventures from Origins 2011, 2012, and early work for a future convention.
T-minus 16 days until I visit California.
